Hope you enjoyed the Museum-it was great meeting with you.
I have attached a few scanned pages re your grandfather's resignation from the Leinster Council. I hope they are clear enough but, very briefly, at their 19th of January 1919 meeting the Leinster Council were informed of a ruling by the Central Council that any member who had taken the oath of allegiance was suspended from the Association, until the matter was fully looked into at the next All-Ireland Congress.
This affected thousands of GAA members (teachers, civil servants etc) including your grandfather who, at the 19th January meeting, stood down as Chairman pending the next Leinster Convention. However by the next Leinster Convention, 19th April 1919, Hogan had made up his mind not to seek re-election and Dan MacCarthy was elected his successor.
