Family Tree Software Print E-mail

I have added a genealogy program to display a dynamic and interactive family tree.

It is not perfect, but it's free and it works. It has a huge range of features, most of which I haven't explored. I hope you will explore it for me.

I'm sure there are lots of things wrong in there and I don't want to be the one fixing things. I'd like you to fix anything that you find that is wrong. Although I haven't tested it yet, there appears to be a feature whereby I can delegate administration and editing of parts of the tree to individuals and/or groups. So in theory, I can hand over control of your tree to you.

The program is quite catholic in its moral attitudes (actually I think its probably more Mormon, but I don't know them welll enough to say). It requires a 'husband' and 'wife' before it will allow children to be added. And it doesn't include children in a mothers wider 'family' unless the parents are 'married'. But it does seem to recognise same-sex 'marriages' (although not partnerships), which is interesting.

What a load on nonsense! It was just me being stoopid. The software just 'stores up' and lists all the changes that have been made and requires that they be 'accepted' (currently a manual process) before displaying them as facts.

I am currently (August 2008) running out of disk space and so please don't upload any photos just yet, until my negotiations with my hosting company are complete.

As you will probably notice as you move around there are now quite a few photos. I have negotiated a very good deal with my hosting company and you are welcome any photos that you may have that you feel would be of interest. I reserve the right to 'resize' them downwards if they are hogging diskspace. If you are resizing before upload, I would suggest a width of 600 pixels is more than adequate.

Please browse through it and let me know what you think.
